The Kent School District
Clothing Bank is a valuable resource for needy families in the Kent School
area. The Clothing Bank recycles used clothing for those children in need.
It is located on the grounds
of the Kent Phoenix Academy and is open
from 6 to 8 p.m. every Wednesday.
Responsibilities:
The Kent Area Council assigns each school a specific date (usually 1 evening per
school year) to help out on location. The committee chair arranges for
volunteers on this date. Duties involve distributing clothing and organizing
donations. The Chairperson also arranges clothing drives at the school during
the year, which can include collecting new school supplies, socks and
underwear. The committee collects,
washes and delivers clothing from the lost and found three times per year.

Time Commitment: 2 - 4 hrs. twice per year
